•    Download the Clock Work Mod recovery image from here to your computer. Once downloaded, you need to rename the same to recovery.img file. Up next you need to download and install the Android’s ADB in your computer.

•    Download the fastboot Zip package from here to your computer and place the same to the “platform-tools” folder. Once the same is placed, you need to turn off the device so that it can be entered in the recovery mode.

•    Hold Volume Down button + Power button to enter the device in the recovery mode till you see the message “Press Volume Up to enter RCK (5s)”. Once it’s done, you now need to press Volume Down once to highlight the USB icon, then press the Volume Up button to confirm the same.  Now, you need to boot the tablet and need to redo the above process.

•    Start the command prompt in your computer by pressing the “Win + R” key and then type the following commands in command prompt to flash the kernel. Please note that you will have to press enter after every command mentioned below,

cd c:\Fastboot,

fastboot devices,

fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery recovery.img,

•    Once all the above commands are processed successfully, you now need to type in the command as “fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot” for rebooting the tablet.

•    So there you go, you have now successfully installed the custom recovery image in your device.  To check whether the device has successfully installed with the clock work mod recovery or not, you need to Hold Volume Down button + Power button to enter the device in the recovery mode till you see the message “Press Volume Up to enter RCK (5s)”.

Huawei MediaPad Tablet Gets Android 4.0 ICS Update OTA
